A lot of this can be found online, which is why I have pooled all the resources I found most helpful when making the career change out of teaching. STPCD

The School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions Document will become your best friend when it comes to raising issues with your working conditions. It is updated annually and applies to all schools in the UK.

Life After Teaching

This Facebook group is a hive of thousands of teachers either looking to leave teaching or have been able to do so. You can ask for advice or gain support when you feel you are struggling with teaching as a whole.

Mark. Plan. Teach

If you are unsure of whether you want to leave teaching but need help with reducing workload, “Mark. Plan. Teach.” by Teacher Toolkit is the book for you. Cut out the white noise and focus on these fundamentals.

Another website to guide teachers out of the profession, Ex-Teachers.uk is run by another former teacher who shares their experiences, expertise and resources (including a very helpful flow map!).
